this decision took me a while. i was still hoping i keep shooting whithout to many missing days in between. it does not work. and i am sad not to make a whole year in a row.
i have to take a little break before i can really commit myself to the project again.
right now are difficult times to create a picture everyday. i don't have all my equipment in spain and i am too busy getting my life organized and living in alicante. i don't want to post a picture everyday because that is my project even though it is the intention of it. i decided for myself i'll continue when i have time for some more quality and thoughts behind a picture.

In Alicante there is the "Explanada", a kind of boardwalk starting at the harbour and leading to the city beach. You can find chairs everywhere - in the morning and early afternoon empty, however, in the early hours of the evening the chairs start to get rare and the explanada gets crowded with people chatting, meeting, or playing games. It is the place to be in the evening. The majority are older people, however, you can find all ages here. And the last chair is gone not later than 7pm.

The first morning in my new place and my new home for hopefully 10 months: Alicante, Spain. This is the view from my room through the window into the backyard.
Actually, there is something really nice about this view: it is peaceful, quiet, very spanish, sunny and it lights up me and my room... something I had to look for quite a while and it took many visits of unpleasant places.

i cheated a tiny bit - i took it yesterday evening in mannheim. but didn't want to hide it and i felt it deserved one post entry. so here it is - the fountain of mannheim's rosengarten by night.

it was very hot today, if not the hottest day of the year so far. a place in the shade was rare. those two belong to the lucky ones and seem to have a splendid sunny sunday afternoon.

it was a beautiful day today and summer finally arrived (wasn't so sure about that anymore) - just a bit more than a week before I leave. I love this place and it is one of my favorite ones since i moved to that area of town. so it is one of the things i will miss, too.

we made sushi yesterday. it was a lot of fun, oh so good and the best part of it - quite cheap and easy to make. we had so many rolls each!

An der Ostsee gibt es diesen Sommer eine Marienkäferplage. An unserem ersten Tag fanden wir die kleinen getupften Käferchen noch ganz niedlich und konnten nicht genug bekommen. Nach einer Weile, Marienkäfer auf dem Körper und in Taschen und der Feststellung, dass sie auch Zwicken können, fanden wir sie gar nicht mehr so toll.
